write this post cost me an immense effort, because the thought of leaving by books like Immortality or The God of Small Things I almost hurts, but in the end I decided, I made the choice and perhaps most obvious, but probably the right one:
Gabriel Garcia Marquez - One Hundred Years of Solitude
this is , the book that radically changed the way I read, what made me switch from historical fiction and reality absolute surrealism, to a different reality, and as my mother would say, strange books, full of ghosts and weird things .
When I read the first time I was fourteen or fifteen years and a great love for South America, and this could be one of the reasons I fell in love with Gabo, but One Hundred Years of Solitude is not only the history Chile, not only the entire history of Latin America, but Colonel Aureliano Buendía who took part in 32 revolutions lose it all, the gypsy Melquiades, with his inventions, Remedios the Beauty who ascended into heaven, with Rebeca his bag of bones are something more, allegories and interpretations of all reality.
and then One Hundred Years of Solitude is also the key to the Modena City Ramblers MCR and are the symbol of the best of what they gave me the high school years, so this was an obvious choice.
WARNING: This post was written in very bad physical and psychological condition, ergo I do not take any responsibility for the stupid things / mistakes that I have written, are not bright enough to be aware but I wanted to write this post as soon as possible .
